Cheryl Chambers is a dedicated and experienced therapist with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts from Wesley College, a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Delaware State University, and a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) from Delaware State University. Her extensive background includes working in community-based programs, inpatient and outpatient facilities, residential treatment, correctional settings, and military support, including serving as a Clinical Social Worker at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
In 2008, Cheryl founded New Beginnings Family Services (NBFS) in Milford, Delaware, with a mission to provide compassionate, client-centered care. She specializes in a wide range of concerns, including trauma, addiction, mood disorders, relationship issues, and more. Known for her direct, "Elephant in the Room" approach, Cheryl integrates strength-based therapeutic techniques, meditation, and hypnosis to help clients navigate life's challenges.
She believes in creating a safe and judgment-free environment where clients can openly explore their thoughts and emotions. When desired, she thoughtfully incorporates spiritual perspectives into the therapeutic process to support healing and personal growth. In addition to providing therapy, Cheryl offers clinical supervision for social workers pursuing licensure and advanced board certifications.
